Step by Step Guide to Write Unique Articles

indratno November 13th, 2007

Dear Infopreneur,

You’ve known it already that unique articles count in search engine ranking. Higher search engine ranking guarantees you higher search engine traffic. And I believe you agree that traffic is vital for your internet business and infopreneuring success. But how exactly you write such unique articles? Here are steps you can follow:

1. Expand Your Thinking
Reduce your subject to a single core word and then brainstorm around it. For example, if you’re trying to write about “Study Skills”, expand your thinking to “School”. Now jot down everything that comes to mind when you think about School, and when you run out of ideas start asking yourself open questions around the subject and noting your answers.

Examples:

What did I enjoy about school?
What scared me?
What did I wish I’d known from Day 1?

This will help you get back into the mindset of someone struggling with school issues of all kinds and you’ll start to get a feel for their concerns and worries.

2. Get Back to Your Initial Focus
Once you’ve started to understand the general feelings of your readers, allow your mind to focus back on your original topic of Study Skills. From your new perspective, what questions would you ask? What would you want to know? Is this really a “Studying” issue or is it more about Time Management or being able to work without distractions or being paralyzed by the fear of not doing well?

3. Stay in The Mindset of Your Reader
Write each question on a separate sheet of paper; don’t stop until you have at least ten and preferably more. Stay in the mindset of your readers until you feel you’ve asked every major question that concerns them.

Should We Forget About Search Engine Traffic?

indratno August 7th, 2007

Dear Infopreneur,

Master of internet business automation shares with you his latest insight on traffic generation. JP has successfully implement the automation of his business through Fantasos(tm). Below is his newest article on traffic generation trend.

Through out my internet infopreneuring journey I found out that the most important foundation for internet business success is the optimum implementation of traffic & copywriting formula.

Please enjoy the article.

NEW TREND IN TRAFFIC GENERATION
By JP Schoeffel

Worried about the next Google slap? Do you only rely on Search Engine traffic? Don’t know where to start when you need to drive traffic to your site? If yes, this article is for YOU!
Whatever you do on the net, you will always deal with
Traffic Generation…the holly grail.

To make it short, you have 2 main types of traffic :

1) Search Engine traffic

What is it? : organic traffic
coming from search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN

Pros :
- This traffic is f.re.e
- Traffic is highly targeted
- Volume of traffic can be very high

Cons :
- you don’t control it
- you rely on robots to analyze your site and deliver some traffic
- you need to get indexed…without being de-indexed
(once again, you rely on search engines policy and algorithms)
- short term

2) Referred Traffic

(I know Search engine traffic is also a sort of
referred traffic, but let’s put SE traffic apart
from this category)

What is it?
Traffic coming from third party sites (other than search
engines) and is a result of a “manual / human” action.

Examples : article directories, social bookmarking services,
forums, partners, text link ads, banners, directories, rss…

Pro :
- you control it
- you have a lot of means to develop it (almost unlimited ; a lot are fr.ee)
- it’s highly targeted
- You can pay to get better targeting and control over your referred traffic
- Long term

Cons :
- Time & resources consuming
- Repetitive tasks

Now, through my membership (Niches-In-A-Box), my forum,
my readings of other forums, I know that most webmasters
mainly rely on search engines traffic, our first category.

The aim of the present article is to throw the light on
a different angle of the Traffic Generation big box!

Summary : the right way to get into traffic generation is
to forget about search engines.

Focusing on search engine traffic gives a too narrow
vision of traffic generation. It does not reveal all
the opportunities existing outside of the search engines
(understand all the way to generate Referred Traffic).

In addition, as you’ve seen from the cons above, you accept
to rely on something you never control, and this is a HUGE
risk in your marketing strategy.

Warning : I do not say, you should not care about search engine
traffic. I say that it should not be your priority, and the first
door you try to open when dealing with traffic generation.
It’s a question of point of view.

Now, on the other hand, focusing on developing what we called
Referred Traffic is a more positive, constructive and profitable
attitude and marketing strategy.

Not only will you build traffic for the long term, but
you will also “manually” control your traffic, either by
submitting your content, your sites, your feeds, or by
exchanging links, content, traffic with partners,
being active on forums, blogs…

Doing it this way will give you a lot of power and effectiveness.
Those sources of Referred Traffic only vanish…if you decide
to let them vanish. Once again, you control everything.

Now, you have some positive side effects :

Without Promotion Something Terrible Happens: Nothing

indratno December 23rd, 2006

Infopreneur, PT. Barnum once reportedly said: “Without promotion, something terrible happens: Nothing”. Below is a superb article from Marty Foley, an internet optimization expert. Enjoy.

Increase Your Profits With a Marketing Calendar

Copyright Marty Foley, ProfitInfo.com

Here’s a tip for systemizing and increasing the profits
of virtually any business: Create and use a marketing
calendar.

As P.T. Barnum reportedly said, “Without promotion
something terrible happens: Nothing.” Since marketing
is one of the most critical components of business
success, a marketing calendar helps ensure that time is
regularly set aside for it.

Just as with money, if time isn’t budgeted properly
it’s more likely to be wasted or spent on less
important things.

Without advance planning and preparation, marketing
opportunities are more likely overlooked, less time is
available to take advantage of them, and quality
decreases as mistakes increase, according to the adage,
Haste makes waste.

A marketing calendar helps systemize planning and
preparation, minimizing such problems.

How To Create Your Marketing Calendar

Some develop their annual marketing calendars near the
end of the year, in preparation for the next. Regardless
of the time of year, if you’re not currently using one
now is a good time to start.

To create your marketing calendar you can use an Excel
sheet (my preference), a desk or wall calendar, a day
planner, or any other tool or system you’re comfortable
with. How you set it up is less important than that you
set it up, and that you use it.

What you might record on your marketing calendar:

1) Specific day, week, or month assigned to each
marketing project.

2) Project description.

3) Project cost.

4) Project notes or comments.

5) A rating of the results of each project (A =
Excellent, B = Good, C = Fair, and D = Poor).

You don’t have to list each task of multi-step projects
on your calendar. Instead, you can describe projects
briefly on the calendar and list the individual tasks
comprising each one on a To-Do list (which you probably
keep anyway if you’re a productivity minded person).

Or you may assign different tasks of a project to
separate consecutive calendar dates.

Give priority to proven marketing avenues that pay off
best for you, allowing them ample time for completion.

Periodically add projects related to marketing avenues
you haven’t tried before. You may discover some that
yield dramatically better results.

What’s more, marketing diversification reduces risk.
Just ask those whose businesses have nosedived as a
result of adverse changes in an advertising medium
they’ve relied too heavily upon.

For best results, include projects related to testing
new approaches to marketing avenues you’re now using,
or have used before. Small changes can yield
substantial response increases at little or no extra
cost, possibly turning C- and D-rated projects into A-
and B-rated ones.

Locate your marketing calendar for easy access. Consult
and update it regularly, as needed.

When creating next year’s calendar, recycle winning
elements of your current one, especially A- and B-rated
projects. Expand on what works, and test and tweak, or
eliminate, what doesn’t. As you develop, improve, and
use your calendar it will become an increasingly
valuable business asset.

Now that you understand the value of a marketing
calendar, create and implement one right away and start
enjoying better business results from it.
